Scope
This document specifies the performance test methods for rubber sealing devices of rolling bearings in rail vehicle wheelsets. This document is applicable to the performance judgment of the rubber sealing device of rolling bearings in rail vehicle wheelsets (hereinafter referred to as sealing devices). Note: For performance testing of non-rubber sealing devices, please refer to this document.
Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

This standard establishes a complete evaluation system including 7 categories and 17 performance indicators for the systematic test method of rubber seals for rolling bearings of rail vehicle wheelsets. The standard innovatively transforms mechanical motion parameters such as axial movement and eccentric rotation in actual working conditions into test conditions that can be quantified and controlled.

Key technical parameters of the test equipment

The standard requires that the test equipment must meet the following requirements:

  • Speed control accuracy ±3%
  • Dynamic eccentricity ≤0.03mm
  • Axial movement 0-2mm adjustable
  • Pulse pressure 0.011MPa±5%

The equipment is specially required to be equipped with a dual-axis coaxiality adjustment system to ensure that the coaxiality error between the main shaft and the test shaft is less than 0.05mm.


Material compatibility key control points

According to the requirements of Appendix A, the elastomer material needs to pass the 28-day accelerated aging test:

  • The volume change of fluororubber after immersion in grease at 200℃ is ±10%
  • The hardness change of hydrogenated nitrile rubber after 150℃ test is ±10IRHD

Implementation suggestions

  1. Give priority to the metal skeleton lip seal ring structure recommended by the standard
  2. Establish a temperature-speed-pressure linkage calibration mechanism for the test equipment
  3. It is recommended to add micro-morphology analysis as a supplementary evaluation method
