Specification for Silicon Carbide Ceramic Composite Bulletproof Plate (English Version)
Model | Protection type | Bulletproof requirements | Mass limit(kg) |
---|---|---|---|
Type I | Cooperative protection | Proof against 5.8mm ordinary bullets (920±10m/s) | ≤1.9-2.1 |
Type II | Independent protection | Proof against 7.62mm armor-piercing incendiary bullets (878±10m/s) | ≤2.4-2.95 |
The composite structure of silicon carbide ceramic plate (density 3-3.2g/cm3) and PE laminate (V50≥750m/s) is adopted, and the energy is absorbed step by step through the aramid crack arrest layer and epoxy resin transition layer. The surface adopts military green acrylic-polyurethane nano-composite coating with hardness ≥H grade.
Compared with the early GJB 5478-2006 standard, this specification clarifies for the first time the technical parameters of silicon carbide ceramics as the core ballistic material, increases the Vickers hardness from 18GPa to 21GPa, and increases the bending strength standard by 23%. New quality upper limit control requirements under the collaborative protection mode are added.
