3.1.4 Electric-driven low-speed vehicles
The new standard clearly defines: low-speed vehicles whose driving energy is completely or partially provided by electrical energy and driven by electric motors, including:
- Pure electric type: completely dependent on the on-board energy storage system (power battery/supercapacitor)
- Hybrid type: can obtain power from both fuel and electrical energy

For new special vehicles such as livestock transport vehicles, special attention should be paid to the following:
- The strength of the cargo box fence must meet the requirements of GB7258
- Live transport vehicles should be equipped with temperature control and ventilation devices
- The pressure value of the hydraulic system of the dump mechanism should comply with the QC/T459 standard
Analysis of standard evolution
This revision reflects three major trends: new energy (new electric drive system terms added in Chapter 16), specialization (the definition of special vehicle models increased by 100%), and internationalization (English terms correspond to ISO 3833:2020). The outdated long-head/flat-head truck classification is deleted to reflect the law of technological elimination.
