Coal Quality Classification Part 3: Calorific Value (English Version)
This revision highlights three major improvement directions: sampling precision, indicators segmentation, and application scenario. It focuses on standardizing the requirements for taking coal samples from coal seams, adding a sampling process that complies with the MT/T1090 standard, and improving the domestic coal resource evaluation system.
Grade code | Title | Heat value range(MJ/kg) |
---|---|---|
SHQ | Extra high calorific value coal | >30.90 |
HQ | High calorific value coal | 27.21-30.90 |
MHQ | Medium and high calorific value coal | 24.31-27.20 |
MQ | Medium calorific value coal | 21.31-24.30 |
MLQ | Medium and low calorific value coal | 16.71-21.30 |
LQ | Low calorific value coal | ≤16.70 |
The 2022 version makes major adjustments in the coal sampling processing link: emphasizing the standardized taking of coal seam coal samples (in accordance with GB/T482), canceling the guidelines for the taking of commercial coal samples, and strengthening the guidance of resource exploration. The case shows that after the implementation of the new standard, the measurement error rate in a mining area in Xinjiang decreased by 2.7%.
The inspection process implements a dual-link routing guarantee mechanism: the first link implements GB/T213 to determine calorific value, and the second link is prepared and verified through GB/T19494.2. The operation case shows that the reproducibility of the results of laboratories using the new preparation standard has increased to 98%.
