Scope

This document specifies the description method, composition, elements, entities, and types and rules of core metadata extension of scientific and technological resources. This document is applicable to the cataloging, archiving, database construction, publishing, sharing, exchange and query of core metadata of scientific and technological resources, as well as domain extension.

Scientific and technological resources are an important foundation for scientific and technological innovation, including scientific research instruments and facilities, scientific data, biological germplasm and other diverse forms. In order to improve the level of sharing and utilization of scientific and technological resources, GB/T30523-2014 "Core Metadata of Scientific and Technological Platform Resources" was revised in 2018 to form the GB/T30523-2023 version.
