Scope
This document specifies the vertical random vibration test principle, test equipment, test procedures and test reports for transport packages. This document is applicable to the vertical random vibration test of transport packages or unit goods. It is used to evaluate the strength of the package and the protection ability of the package to the contents when it is vibrated vertically. It can be used as a single test or as part of a series of tests.

Key technical requirements for test equipment

The vibration table system must meet the following requirements:

  • Table surface horizontality deviation ≤±1°
  • Minimum resonance frequency>200Hz
  • Equipped with auxiliary equipment such as low frame and load fixing device

Typical application case: A logistics company uses an electromagnetic vibration table (model ES-3) to test e-commerce packaging and achieves a PSD control accuracy of ±1.5dB in the 5-100Hz frequency band.

Note: The selection of the severity level should be based on factors such as product value and transportation distance. It is recommended to give priority to Severity Level II.


Key considerations for implementation

  1. Safety protection: The fastening device must be checked before the test. If the vibration response exceeds the limit, the machine should be shut down immediately
  2. Environmental control: Start the test within 5 minutes after pretreatment. The temperature and humidity records must be accurate to ±1℃/±5%RH
  3. Data acquisition: It is recommended to use ICP type accelerometer (such as PCB 352C33) to ensure signal fidelity
