1.1 This standard specifies the requirements and makes recommendations for the storage conditions, storage facilities, handling and inspection of processed security photographic film (hereinafter referred to as photographic film) in any size in the form of rolls, strips, window cards or sheets. . 1.2 This standard applies to long-term and medium-term storage of photographic film, see Chapter 3 for definitions. 1.3 This standard applies to storage copies of infrequently used photographic film records. Does not apply to "working" or "use" copies [see Appendix A (Standard Appendix)]. 1.4 Although this standard is applicable to well-processed materials, it is also valuable to extend the useful life of photographic films whose processing status is unknown, color-graded, edited, or marked with unknown materials or unknown stability. 1.5 This standard is only applicable to security photographic film (see GB/T 7430). Nitrate base films are hazardous and are not covered by this standard. They require special storage conditions. 1.6 Different storage conditions are required for photographic paper and photographic dry plate, which are not included in this standard. They are described in ISO6051 and ISO3897 accordingly.
